These short introduction to music therapy courses consist of a combination of case presentations, presentation of relevant theory, and practical sessions. Many audio and visual examples will be shown of actual session material which promotes honest, interesting and healthy discussions about the role of the music therapist, and enables delegates to explore their feelings about the work.

Intended Audience
All those wishing to find out more about music therapy will find one of these courses helpful. They outline the role and job of the music therapist for those wishing to satisfy curiosity, and enable those who may wish to consider training as a music therapist to reflect on their motivations and skills.
Outcomes
These short music therapy courses will provide an introduction to music therapy, specifically the approach taught on the post graduate MA course at Roehampton University. They are very useful for anyone wishing to undertake a career in Music Therapy and who wish to find out more about what is actually involved in practice
